HAPPY DAYS SANCTUARY
A FOREVER HOME FOR RESCUED FARM ANIMALS
Advocating for Animals
Happy Days Sanctuary was built in the Spring of 2018 in order to rescue and protect any abused, neglected domestic and farm animals abroad.
The sanctuary is registered as a Not-For-Profit Corporation and a Canadian Charity which will provide a “Forever Home” for some residents and rehabilitate and nurture others so that they can leave us and be adopted. We are located 20 minutes from Niagara Falls, Canada.
WHAT WE DO
We work with other rescues, shelters and the general public, through reputation and word of mouth. The rescued resident animals usually start out quite scared and in pretty rough shape, having lived on the streets or in horrific environments for a period of time. We initially place the animals in quarantine to be assessed and where they are taken care of medically. After a period of time, they are released into the general population and the socialization is begun. Some animals may hide for months, only coming out when there are no humans around. There is no time limit, if an animal never becomes able to be adopted, he or she will always have a home at Happy Days. We try to enlist volunteers to help with socializing, cleaning, fostering or transporting animals to vet visits or adopt-a-thons.

FINDING THAT FOREVER HOME
Regularly our dog and cat rescues are a result of being lost/abandoned and never find their owners or they were born outside. Happy Days provides a temporary home for all sizes and ages of dogs and cats until they are chosen by you or someone who wants a special friend in their lives. All the dogs and cats in our Adoption section, are ready to go to loving homes. They are healthy and have been socialized.

WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS
We would like to increase the size of the facility to be able to accommodate more animals who require help. There are a variety of neglected and/or abused animals needing assistance.
The family behind Happy Days Sanctuary has spent a lifetime caring and nurturing for a variety of animals but was not until 2018 was the decision made to make it a more lifetime priority commitment. Residents , initially being cats and dogs within the local area but as news spread fast throughout the animal rescue network it was evident that Happy Days was needed on a much larger scale Nationally. Happy Days began accepting animal in dire straits from other provinces, especially in Alberta. Happy Days works very closely with a variety of other rescue and sanctuary facilities to ensure every possible chance is given to every deserving animal.
